Students in Grades 4 to 8 from seventeen Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) elementary schools will participate in ‘Building Skills with Coding’ on April 24.
Using a design process, students will learn to apply fundamental coding and computational thinking skills to create a solution to a real world problem, while incorporating learning skills, mathematics, science and technology, language and visual arts and social studies. The day finishes with student teams sharing their innovative solutions during an interactive arcade.
‘Building Skills with Coding’ runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. in the Roy Edwards Room at the SCDSB Education Centre located at 1170 Highway 26 in Midhurst.
