Grade 1 French Immersion registration information

The SCDSB offers FI at select schools throughout Simcoe County beginning in Grade 1. The goal of the FI program is to support the development of confidence and proficiency in all aspects of the French language.

The FI online application form and the link to access it will only be available starting at 9 a.m. on Mon. Jan. 22 and will close at 9 p.m. on Wed. Jan. 24, 2018. Once available, you will find the application link on this page.

Enrolment into the FI program in Grade 1 is limited to a maximum of 40 students per designated FI site. While every effort will be made to accommodate all FI applications, available space and staffing will determine how many students can be registered. Applications will be processed in the order they are received electronically. Parent(s)/guardian(s) can contact their school if they do not have Internet access at home or require assistance accessing the online application.

Please note that the designated sites for FI may change during the program, which may also include splitting the program between two different sites.

For more information, read our French Immersion Guide for Parents and Guardians and French Program Frequently Asked Questions or call your designated school FI site.
