Planning Transitions for Students with Special Education Needs: An Event for Parents and Educators
The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) is hosting an event to help students, parents and educators plan transitions for students with special education needs. This event takes place on Monday, April 2, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the SCDSB Education Centre, 1170 Highway 26, Midhurst.
Community agencies will highlight services available for planning these transitions. Information sessions will be presented and participants will receive the SCDSB’s “Planning Transitions for Students with Special Education Needs: A Handbook for Parents”. The handbook provides guiding questions, calendars of events and tips for supporting students.
SCDSB/Kinark After-School Workshop Sessions for Parents & Educators
The Simcoe County District School Board and Kinark Child & Family Services is offering eight after-school workshops during the 2011-2012 school year for parents and educators of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
