Please contact the child care operator directly to register for the programs. All programs will operate if there is sufficient demand. If numbers are not sufficient some programs may need to be cancelled. This decision will occur in June 2012, so please register to ensure all programs can run. Hours of operations will range between 6:30am to bell time and bell time until 6:00pm. In June, the Child Care operators will confirm times based upon families needs.

Extended Day Fee Schedule

Select SCDSB schools with full-day kindergarten are also offering an Extended Day component (before and after school care) on a fee-for-service basis, which is determined by demand. The following are the set rates for the Extended Day Program:

Daily Fees*
Before and After School Rate: $18.50
Before School Only Rate: $9.25
After School Only Rate:  $13.00
Non-Instructional Days Rate: $33.50

Child Care Fee Subsidy

The County of Simcoe’s Children and Community Services Department provides Child Care Fee Assistance to eligible families within the County of Simcoe and the Cities of Barrie and Orillia.  Parents/Guardians must be working, attending school or fulfilling a participation agreement with Ontario Works, to participate.

Assessments for eligibility of fee subsidy occur through interviews Monday through Friday, during regular business hours.  There are five Social Services Offices located in Alliston, Barrie, Collingwood, Midland and Orillia.  Applicants are given directions to their local office at the time that the assessment is scheduled.
