Student Success
Student Success in Simcoe County is dedicated to ensuring that students' individual interests, goals and strengths are recognized, and that all students are given the same opportunity to succeed in high school.
Prepare for Success Program
This integrated four-credit package is offered to senior students who are interested in enhancing employability skills applicable to all post secondary settings (work, college, university). The Prepare for Success Program runs for a semester and is designed for students who desire to learn the skills necessary to achieve their post secondary goal. Students will engage in class based and experiential education to further develop the social and interpersonal skills necessary for a variety of careers. Students will be actively involved in cooperative learning, independent study and activities which promote taking a leadership role. Cooperative education and other forms of experiential learning, such as job shadowing, field trips and work experience, will enable students to apply the skills they have developed in the classroom to real-life experiences.
For more information on the Prepare for Success Program, please call (705) 734-6363, ext. 11801.
