Appreciation Day recognizes custodial and operations maintenance staffFebruary 4, 2015 Category: NewsBack to News Page

The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) will celebrate SCDSB Operations Appreciation Day on Feb. 11. This annual event highlights the integral role that operations staff has in providing safe and clean learning and working environments for students, staff and local communities.

This appreciation day provides staff, students and parents with the opportunity to express appreciation to the school and facility operations team, including custodians and regional operations maintenance employees. On Feb. 11, school staff and students are encouraged to wear grey or navy blue shirts in honour of our operations staff uniform colours, and operations staff will be permitted to dress in casual attire.

Operations management teams will be visiting with school staff throughout the week and SCDSB schools will host a variety of activities to honour their operations staff.
