Over 400 secondary students with special needs from 13 schools across Simcoe County will participate in an inclusive outdoor Olympic Extravaganza on June 14.

This is the first time Bear Creek Secondary School is hosting this annual event. Students will have the opportunity to experience approximately 20 different events, ranging from a chicken throw to a hockey shootout. Participants receive a barbecue lunch, with dessert provided by Chapman’s Ice Cream, and will be entertained by a DJ.

All proceeds are being donated to Special Olympics Ontario.

Bear Creek is located at 100 Red Oak Drive in Barrie. The Olympic Extravaganza runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
