Elementary School Registration
Welcome to elementary school at the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB)! During the school year, registration takes place at the school your child will attend.
To find out which school your child will attend based on your home address, use our Home School Locator. You can also call our Planning and Enrolment department at (705) 734-6363 x11218. All contact information for our elementary schools can be found in our Elementary School Search. Each school’s page provides the name of the school’s Principal and Trustee, school address and contact info, the start and end times, which bus zone the school is in, how to get to the school and much more!

What documents do I need to bring with me?
Birthdate Documentation: Proof of birthdate (original Canadian birth certificate, Certificate of Canadian Citizenship, Canadian Passport, Permanent Resident Card/Record of Landing, or Statement of Live Birth – long version).
Residential Address: Proof of your child's address.
Below is a list of appropriate pieces of documentation that a parent/guardian may present to verify address:
- property tax assessment
- lease/rental agreement
- ownership title
- proof of purchase agreement for the primary residence
- utility bill in the name of the parent(s)/guardian(s)
- letter of residency
- statutory declaration
Record of Immunization: A record of immunization is also requested to assist the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit in meeting its requirement under the Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA) to collect and maintain immunization records for every child registered in school.
