About

One of Ontario's largest public education systems, the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) has schools and learning centres dotted throughout 4,800 beautiful square kilometres in Simcoe County. This south-central Ontario setting bordered by the Holland Marsh in the south, the Trent-Severn Waterway in the east, Blue Mountain in the west and Muskoka in the north is known for its friendly mix of urban and rural communities and superb natural recreational facilities.

The number one priority for our dedicated and skilled team of teaching, administrative and support staff is to help all students learn, achieve success, reach their full potential and continue along a path of lifelong learning.

Land Acknowledgment

The SCDSB approved the practice of a land acknowledgment for Board meetings and significant board and school events, as well as a less formal land acknowledgment for daily use in all schools.

A land acknowledgment is an act of reconciliation and respect with, and for, the First Nations people of Simcoe County, on whose land we stand.

Scholarship Donations

The Simcoe County District School Board is a registered charity. We welcome and encourage donations to enhance learning opportunities, scholarships and awards to assist our students in continuing their education journeys. Our registered charity number is 107981318RR0002 and donation receipts can be issued for income tax purposes. Please contact your school's principal or SCDSB Business Services for further information.

Scent Awareness Guidelines

The Simcoe County District School Board is committed to a safe, healthy and respectful workplace and learning environment for staff, students, and all other persons who are invited to or who work on Board property.

The Scent Awareness Guideline is intended to: increase awareness within the Board community about the potential impact of fragrance chemicals on the health, well-being, productivity and lifestyle of those affected; ask for the voluntary cooperation towards a scent-reduced environment and provide the steps for responding to scent-related issues.
