Upcoming high school info nights

Starting Grade 9 next year? Your future SCDSB high school’s information night is coming soon!
Posted on 11/25/2024

High schools in the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) are hosting information nights for Grade 8 students and their parents/guardians this fall and winter. These events support the transition to high school, provide information on course options, extracurricular activities, sports, clubs, and more. Students and their families will have the opportunity to meet department representatives, tour the unique spaces within schools, and connect with student leaders.

Students entering Grade 9 in the 2025-26 school year and their parents/guardians are invited to attend the information night at their local high school. Visit the SCDSB website to find the details for your school’s information night, and to browse program and course options.

SCDSB schools offer a wide range of programs and courses to support students’ individual needs and interests, including 10 technological education programs. Take a look inside the board’s technological education spaces, featuring industry-standard equipment, and watch highlights of some of the opportunities in the skilled trades available in SCDSB secondary schools, including the Level Up! Career Fair and greenhouse to table learning at Banting Memorial HS.

This initiative links directly to the SCDSB Strategic Priorities in the areas of Community and Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
