Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) schools have a long-standing tradition of excellence in athletics. Student-athletes compete in the Simcoe County Athletic Association (SCAA) during the regular season, and represent the SCDSB and their schools in the Georgian Bay Secondary School Association (GBSSA) and Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) championships.
SCDSB student-athletes ‘smashed’ their way to success at the recent GBSSA Badminton championships, bringing home trophies in the following divisions:
- Junior Boys’ Singles – Twin Lakes SS
- Junior Boys’ Doubles – Nottawasaga Pines SS
- Junior Girls’ Singles – Orillia SS
- Junior Girls’ Doubles – Maple Ridge SS
- Junior Mixed Doubles – Innisdale SS
- Junior Team – Nottawasaga Pines SS
- Senior Girls’ Singles – Innisdale SS
- Senior Girls’ Doubles – Innisdale SS
- Senior Team – Innisdale SS
Spring has sprung! With that comes a host of team and individual sports, and the following upcoming GBSSA championships:

- May 23 – Girls’ A/AA Rugby
- May 27 – Girls’ Tier 1 Slo-pitch
- May 27 – Senior Girls A Soccer

- May 28 – Senior Girls’ AA/AAA Soccer
- May 29 – Boys’ A/AA Rugby
- May 30 – Boys’ AAA Rugby
- May 30 – Girls’ AAA Rugby
- June 3 – Baseball
- June 3 – Girls’ Tier 2 Slo-pitch
- June 3 – Junior Tennis
- June 5 – Junior Boys’ Golf
