Posted on 10/14/2025

The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) Primary Fun Run will see students from Grades 1 to 3 stepping up to the start line of a one-kilometre cross country course on Oct. 17. Over 1,100 students are expected to participate in this annual event, held at the outdoor facility at the SCDSB Education Centre.

“We look forward to welcoming our Primary students to this event, where they can experience the excitement and fun of physical activity,” said Kelly Lalonde, Superintendent of Education. “Health and well-being is a priority in our schools, and the Primary Fun Run helps instil its importance.”

The first heat is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. followed by the second heat at 12 p.m. The rain date for the event, if needed, is Oct. 20.
