High School Info Nights 2025-26

Starting Grade 9 next year? Find out why the SCDSB is the place to be at a high school info night!
Posted on 01/09/2026

High schools in the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) are hosting information nights for Grade 8 students and their parents/guardians this fall and winter. These events support the transition to high school, provide information on course options, extracurricular activities, sports, clubs, and more. Students and their families will have the opportunity to meet department representatives, tour the unique spaces within schools, and connect with student leaders.

Students entering Grade 9 in the 2026-27 school year and their parents/guardians are invited to attend the information night at their local high school. Visit the SCDSB website to find the details for your school’s information night, and to browse program and course options.

SCDSB schools offer a wide range of programs, courses, and extracurricular opportunities to support students’ individual needs and interests. Take a look at some student leadership opportunities, peek inside a film production class, and join students at a math day of learning!

This initiative links directly to the SCDSB Strategic Priorities in the areas of Community and Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
