In May, 280 students with special education needs from 14 secondary schools across the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) gathered for an afternoon of dancing and celebration at Barrie North CI for the Special Education County Class Prom.
Students from the SCDSB’s Life Skills, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Learning Centre classes were invited to dress their best as they came together with their peers at the 16th annual prom. Attendees were treated to music, a photo booth, and cupcakes, and given the opportunity to have their hair and nails done. Services were provided by Barrie North CI students.
Planning for the Special Education County Class Prom led by the Barrie North CI Special Education department in partnership with students and other staff at the school.
