A message to SCDSB families - Jan. 28, 2021

Today, the Ministry of Education announced that additional school boards throughout the province of Ontario are permitted to resume in-person learning on February 1, 2021, based on advice from the Chief Medical Officer of Health.

The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) is not one of the school boards included in this announcement. Therefore, all SCDSB students will continue to participate in remote learning. Current arrangements to support students in special education classes will continue.

The Ministry of Education will continue to seek advice from the Chief Medical Officer of Health regarding the resumption of in-person learning in Simcoe County. It is expected that the next decision point regarding the return to in-person learning will align with the provincial stay-at-home order, which ends February 10. We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.
