At the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) there are over 7,000 dedicated staff supporting over 57,000 students at more than 115 schools and work sites across the county.
Education Week runs from May 4 to 8. During this week we celebrate and recognize all staff for making the SCDSB the place to be! Whether working in the classroom, supporting students, maintaining or building our facilities, leading schools, managing teams, or providing support for the system from behind the scenes, the contributions of staff have a significant impact on our school communities and position the SCDSB as a leader in public education.
“I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the incredible staff at the SCDSB,” said Dawn Stephens, Director of Education. “It makes me proud to work alongside so many committed staff who continue to prioritize student achievement and well-being. By holding students and colleagues to high standards of achievement and accountability, collaborating intentionally with community, valuing the diversity and identity of every student and staff, and prioritizing wellness, you help drive success across our learning and working environments.”
During Education Week, we invite you to join us in recognizing and thanking SCDSB staff for the positive impact they have on our school communities.
This initiative links directly to the SCDSB Strategic Priorities in the areas of Well-being, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Community, and Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
