The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) is the place to be for Kindergarten! Is your child registered to begin Kindergarten at an SCDSB school this September? If so, don’t miss out on your Kindergarten orientation session! Kindergarten orientation sessions are an important connection point as children get ready to start school.
These sessions provide families with the opportunity to engage with their school community. Future Kindergarten students and their parents/guardians meet educators and community partners, find out what and how they will learn in Kindergarten, and get an introduction to their school community.

Do you have a child who is turning four in 2026, and have not yet registered for school? If so, register now, and attend your school’s Kindergarten orientation in May or June! Children turning four in 2026 can start school this September. Details on registration and required documents can be found on the Kindergarten page on the SCDSB website or by calling your local school.
