Hello Kindergarten families!
Kindergarten orientation
Kindergarten orientation sessions are held throughout the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) each spring. These sessions provide families with the opportunity to engage with their school community as their children prepare to enter school. Learn more about these sessions and find out when your child's school is holding their Kindergarten orientation on our Kindergarten orientation page.
It is our shared responsibility to ensure that your child’s first school experience will be a time remembered with joy and a sense of accomplishment. The SCDSB’s Kindergarten teachers and early childhood educators strive to provide enriched, exciting, and positive learning experiences for all students. These experiences will be foundational building blocks for future personal and academic learning and success. We look forward to creating strong links between home and school so that we can make each child’s learning journey a successful one.

Have you played at the park yet? Playgrounds and parks can provide an opportunity for kids to interact with nature. From sand boxes to water play — not to mention surrounding trees, shrubs, and flowers — playgrounds allow kids to play in a dynamic outdoor setting and build curiosity about the natural world. Which park will you visit this week?
