Hello Kindergarten families!

What are some of the ways that you can help your future SCDSB student get ready for school?
● Help them practice getting dressed, zipping zippers, and putting on shoes.
● Encourage them to ask for help when they need it. If they are having a hard time opening a container, or would like some help writing something down, remind them that it’s important to ask for help.
● Share stories with your child every day.
● Enjoy this free activity with your child.
Check out your local EarlyON Child and Family Centre. EarlyON centres offer parents/guardians with children prenatal to six years of age a range of free core services which can assist them in their parenting or caregiving role. EarlyON child and family programs are built on the four foundations of learning:
1. Belonging
2. Well-being
3. Expression
4. Engagement
Knowledgeable and caring staff provide a welcoming, supportive, and accessible place where all children, parents/guardians, and caregivers belong.
