This update provides highlights of the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) Special Board Meeting held Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Agendas and/or reports considered at this meeting are available at www.scdsb.on.ca.
Presentations by Trustee Candidates for the Simcoe County District School Board, Representing the Towns of Midland and Penetanguishene and Townships of Tay and Tiny
Trustee candidates drew numbers to determine the following order of presentation:
- Cate Root, Victoria Harbour
- Tyler Boswell, Port McNicoll
- Howard Walker, Midland
- Barb Knechtel, Midland
- Mike Geer, Victoria Harbour
- Brandy Rafeek, Utopia
- Adam Harrod, Wasaga Beach
Election and Appointment of the Trustee for the Simcoe County District School Board, Representing the Towns of Midland and Penetanguishene and Townships of Tay and Tiny
After receiving presentations from, and asking questions of, all candidates, the SCDSB trustees approved the appointment of Tyler Boswell after three rounds of voting.
Approved recommendation:
- That Tyler Boswell be appointed as trustee for the Simcoe County District School Board, representing the Towns of Midland and Penetanguishene and Townships of Tay and Tiny, effective immediately following the signing of the trustee Declaration.
