At the Board meeting on June 15, the SCDSB Board of Trustees approved the refreshed Strategic Priorities 2022-27.
Students and staff at 90 SCDSB schools have earned Health Schools certifications from Ophea for the 2021-22 school year, more than half of the certifications earned throughout the province.
The SCDSB is offering funding for private or community-based tutoring services to support student learning in math, literacy and other foundational learning skills.

The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) is committed to modelling sustainable practices and appreciation for the environment. This school year, the board and many SCDSB schools have been recognized for their educational and operational practices focused on sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Barrie North student awarded $80,000 STEM scholarship
The Schulich Leader Scholarships awards scholarships to entrepreneurial-minded high school graduates from across Canada who are enrolling in a science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) program. This year, Barrie North Collegiate Institute (BNCI) student Sophie Pavlik has been selected as one of 100 scholarship recipients from across Canada.
