SCDSB Update 7 – December 16, 2020
This update provides highlights of the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) Board Meeting held Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Agendas and/or reports considered at this meeting are available at www.scdsb.on.ca.
Delegations

Report from the Closed Session of the Board in Committee of the Whole
The Board ratified the following recommendations taken in the Closed Session meeting of the Committee of the Whole on Wednesday, December 16, 2020:
- That the Board approve the purchase of the Wasaga Beach elementary school site, as set out in Report No. CL-BF-D-1, Wasaga Beach Elementary School Site Acquisition, dated December 2, 2020.
- That the Board approve the school administrator appointments as set out in Report No. No. CL-HR-D-1, School Administrator Appointments, dated December 9, 2020.

- That the Board approve the motions passed regarding confidential personnel matters in Committee of the Whole In-Camera on December 16, 2020, as set out in Report No. CL-B-2-a, dated December 16, 2020.
- That the Board ratify the collective agreement reached with the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU), Local 330, for the term of September 1, 2019 to August 31, 2022, as set out in Report No. CL-B-2-b, Board Ratification of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU), Local 330 and Its Local Agreement, dated December 16, 2020.

The Board approved the following motions:
- That the Board approve the name Maple Ridge Secondary School as the name of the new south Barrie secondary school, as set out in Report No. BF-D-1, Naming of the New South Barrie Secondary School, dated December 2, 2020.
- That the Board approve the revised Policy 2313 – Pupil Accommodation Review Policy, as set out in Report No. BF-D-2, Revision to Policy 2313 – Pupil Accommodation Review Policy, dated December 2, 2020.
D-4-b Human Resources
The Board approved the following motions:
- That the Board approve the revisions to Policy 3110 – Recruitment of Personnel, as set out in APPENDIX C of Report No. HR-D-1, Revisions to Policy 3110 – Recruitment of Employees, dated December 9, 2020.
- That the Board approve the revisions to Policy 3120 – Employment Equity, as set out in APPENDIX C of Report No. HR-D-2, Revisions to Policy 3120 – Employment Equity, dated December 9, 2020.
- That the Board approve the adoption of Policy 3105 – Conflict of Interest, as set out in APPENDIX A of Report No. HR-D-3, New Policy 3105 – Conflict of Interest, dated December 9, 2020.

The Board ratified the following recommendation:
