Hello Kindergarten families!

What are some of the ways that you can help your future SCDSB student get ready for school?

Help them practice getting dressed, zipping zippers, and putting on shoes.

Encourage them to ask for help when they need it. If they are having a hard time opening a container, or would like some help writing something down, remind them that it's important to ask for help.

Share stories with your child every day.

Check out your local EarlyON Child and Family Centre. EarlyON centres offer parents/guardians with children prenatal to six years of age a range of free core services which can assist them in their parenting or caregiving role. EarlyON child and family programs are built on the four foundations of learning:
1. Belonging
2. Well-being
3. Expression
4. Engagement
Knowledgeable and caring staff provide a welcoming, supportive, and accessible place where all children, parents/guardians, and caregivers belong.
