Help us find the SCDSB Idol finalists – vote for your favourites by May 29
Submissions have closed for the first ever SCDSB Idol competition, and now we need your help to select the finalists! Beginning April 25, students and staff were invited to submit audition videos featuring their vocal or instrumental talents in one of four categories: student solo, student group, staff solo or staff group.
Starting today, members of school communities and the public will be able to ‘vote’ for their favourites in one of two ways:
- Facebook users can check out the ‘SCDSB Idol Audition Video’ playlist on the SCDSB Facebook page, then vote by ‘reacting’ to the video (likes or loves)
- Non-Facebook users can watch all of the videos and select their favourites via this Google form
The top two audition videos from each category, based on the overall number of reactions and votes, will be invited to perform live at the SCDSB Idol Finale on June 5 at 4 p.m. at the Education Centre in Midhurst.
Voting is open from May 16 until May 29 at 12 p.m., and the eight finalists will be announced on May 30.
This initiative links directly to the SCDSB’s Strategic Priorities under the pillars of excellence in teaching and learning.
