Childcare (Before & After)

Before and After School Programs (B&A) are for students in Kindergarten to Grade 6 who need care before and/or after the regular school day hours. View our Parent Handbook for Before and After Care and the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA).

The documents below include B&A provider contact information and a list of schools that offer Child Care Centres. These programs will run on every school day during the school year. Some schools will also operate on PA days and holidays to meet the needs of children and families. View the listings below of which schools will run on these extra days. Please contact our Early Years and Child Care Planner at 705-734-6363 ext. 11297 if you have any questions.

NOTE: The SCDSB consults with the County of Simcoe, children services and community partners to determine demand, viability and projected enrolment each year.

Please contact the child care organization that is listed as the operator in your school to register for the program directly.

Registration information will be available in the office of your child's school; however, completed registration packages will only be processed by the child care operator.

Hours of operation vary based on the needs of families in each school; child care operators will confirm hours in June of the preceding year. Contact the operator directly to confirm B&A program hours at each school.
