Dual = 2; if a student successfully passes a Dual Credit course, they will earn BOTH a secondary high school credit AND a college credit by taking the one course in college.
Most participants of the dual credit program are in gr. 12 and are college-capable students who face significant challenges in completing the requirements for graduation - but are committed to graduating. The college courses are often transferable and will apply for credit toward college certificates, diplomas, and degrees, depending on the college program. In every course, students will have an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in college labs, workshops and new environments, and to build their confidence as they transition from high school. The program is FREE to students and includes the cost of tuition and transportation!
