School Year Calendar

2020-21 School Year Calendar

The 2020-21 School Year Calendar outlines key dates for elementary and secondary schools. These include PA Days, school holidays and evaluation and reporting days.

The Elementary Turn-Around Day is the date that teachers report to their new classroom assignments based on adjusted staffing allocations in schools (changes due to student enrolment).

The Secondary Full Disclosure Day is the last date by which high school courses can be dropped and will not show on a student's transcript.

5-Day Cycle of Instruction (Elementary Schools)

The following calendar is identical to the regular SCDSB calendar posted above, with the addition of the 5-day instructional cycle designations. The 5-day instructional cycle means that instead of scheduling class programs on a Monday to Friday timetable, the programs are scheduled on a Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5 sequence.
