The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) welcomes students from around the world to participate in full-year, one semester programs, and three to four month programs. International students will have a positive, once in a lifetime cultural experience and come away with the knowledge, confidence and motivation required to excel in a global society.
The SCDSB has nearly 20 years of experience in international education. We have an International Student Program team that includes a program coordinator, administrative and support staff, guidance counsellors, teachers and ESL instructors. Each team member is dedicated to supporting an inclusive environment in which both international students and SCDSB students are able to interact and thrive.
Some of our international students attend an SCDSB high school for one or two semesters, while others graduate with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and continue their education at colleges and universities in Canada or in their home countries.
There are currently 15 high schools participating in the SCDSB International Student Program.
