There are many opportunities for students who want to experience
education beyond the boundaries of the traditional
classroom. Experiential educational opportunities like student
exchanges, trips or camp experiences that deliver Ontario
curriculum-based credits or gap year activities fall outside of the
regular school program and independent providers are responsible for
informing parents and students about all aspects related to the
experience, including eligibility, registration and documentation of
student credits. Sometimes there is no better teacher in life than a
real-life experience!
Parents and students interested in
exploring these types of opportunities may be interested to learn that
there are multiple opportunities within Simcoe County to earn credits
outside of the classroom while benefiting from the independent learning
associated with real life experience and travel.
