Let's take a Deeper Dive into our Emotions (virtual)
April 29, 6-7:30 p.m.
In this session, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the child and teenage brain, how to keep lines of communication open, how to talk about feelings, and how not to lose your temper in the big feeling moments. This session will take place virtually via Zoom.
Parenting Unplugged (in person)
May 20, 6-8 p.m., SCDSB Education Centre (1170 Hwy. 26, Midhurst)
In this session, attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to talk tech with your teen, set limits without the battles, and balance tech and face time. This session is being offered in person at the SCDSB Education Centre (1170 Hwy. 26, Midhurst).
About the facilitator
The Connected Parenting learning series will be facilitated by Ulrica Jobe, a passionate counsellor, coach, and speaker who works with parents, children, families, and educators. Ulrica is trained and mentored by Jennifer Kolari in the Connected Parenting methodology, and is a Connected Parenting therapist on Jennifer's team. Ulrica is also the founder of True Compass, an organization with a mission to support social emotional learning, provide family coaching and counselling services.
