Community invited to celebrate the official grand opening of Maple Ridge Secondary School
Students and staff of Maple Ridge SS invite members of the community to come together to commemorate the official grand opening of the school on Nov. 21. The Maple Ridge SS Grand Opening will be a student-focused event, showcasing key elements of the student experience and school community.
The celebration will include an open house from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., where guests will have the opportunity to view the facility, including the artificial turf field – a first of its kind in the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB)! The official ceremony will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and will feature a dance/drama performance and musical performances presented by Maple Ridge SS students. Maple Ridge SS is located at 225 Prince William Way in Barrie.
Maple Ridge SS opened to Grade 9 and 10 students in 2021. The 2023-24 school year is the first year that the school has a full complement of Grade 9 to 12 students.
